Re: Fertilization report...
Thanks Ladies! I have an appt with my Dr on wed to go over everything. I am just so confused how the first two cycles I had embryo's that fertilized and this time none. The first cycle I did was a trial and error and I wasn't getting enough of the meds so while they fertilized they were only a 3 and 7 cell on day 3. I also started accupuncture but was only in maybe 4 weeks at that point. That cycle was a bfn. My next cycle was immediately after. I started with the bcp again and my meds were increased and done intramuscular. This time around they got 11, and 5 fertilized. They transfered 2 8 cell grade 1's and I got pregnant with 1. At 10 weeks I found out the baby stopped growing bc of turners syndrome. I did accupuncture straight through from when I started the first cycle. I lost the baby in Sept. I did my 3rd round but this time I was put on Lupron long term, and I only did accupuncture about 2 times (not sure if that makes a difference) I also started stimming and came down with a nasty cold that I had the entire time, up to my retrieval which I came down with a stomach virus. Thinking about it I wonder if any of that contributed to the poor quality? I just don't get how all of a sudden it can go to this. I think I am more frustraded then upset if that makes sense. Either way I have a ton of questions for the dr. I will update as soon as I have answers. Thanks for all of the support! It really means a lot!

If you are AMA or have high FSH or PCOS is a factor or just simply a poor responder...as stated above...the long Lupron protocol that you were put on may be the culprit here and the cause of your egg quality issues. I hope you get some answers and solutions when you meet with your doctor on Wednesday.

My FSH is in the normal range, and no PCOS. What is AMA? Thanks for your responses. I would never have known that the Lupron could be a cause if I didn't come on this website. I will bring up to the dr and see what he says. Thanks again!

I was on long Lupron and have high FSH and had no fertilization. My doctor discussed with me the probability that my response could very likely have been due to the protocol I was on.....

Re: Fertilization report...
I'm sure it's very frustrating, but don't give up.
I'm so sorry to hear you had a loss due to Turner's.
Before this pregnancy, I had lost 5 babies. This one started off as twins, and only one made it. So, I've had a total of 6 losses and a very LONG LONG 2 & 1/2 year journey. I'm def. AMA! ha... as I turned 41 in Dec. (dont' feel that way though)
It's so hard to stay positive and upbeat and ready for what's next. After my last loss, I went to a nutrionist. Figured if I was already taking supplements and doing accupunture, mind as well help my egg quality! I had 14 retrieved, 11 Fert, 5 to go to blast, put back 3, none left to freeze and am due next week w/ SO- if going to the nutrionist helped me get 1 good egg... well worth it.
Hope you find some answers and can start your next cycle soon.

Do you mind sharing how the nutritionist helped you?

Have you had immune testing? A cold may be a warning sign. have you seen Dr Braverman? As far as acu from what I've read 90 days is the optimal time to see results. probably 2 X a week. GL!
ETA: One of my two year old twins was a 7 cell embie

Re: Fertilization report...UPDATE
It seems like your dr is very confident he will get to the bottom of this! I am so sorry you have to deal with all of this right now The important thing is hopefully your RE could get information for why this wasn't a success which would increase your chances even more next time for it to work!
