Fifth Disease question

Since you all have children, I thought you may be good ones to ask. My friend works in a school where Fifth Disease is lurking...I believe she said no child has gotten it so far, but a sibling of a child has it. Can I be around my friend while I'm pregnant?

I work in a school, and it was goign around when I was pregnant, but the nurse said after your first trimester not to worry, so if you're further along, I wouldn't worry. She also told me that most people carry it in their bodies and don't know it. I think you can get tested to see if you carry it in your system. Honestly, if it were me, I wouldn't worry.

It was in my school in the beginning of this year and my principal sought out all of the preggos personally. I called my doctor and I was told that i was fine...I think it is only if you are very early like 6 weeks or so.
