Filling in a pool?
I was just curious if anyone has filled in a vinyl pool. I am purchasing a house that has one. I really want to fill it and eventually put in a nicer gunite pool farther away from the house. Does anyone know how much this costs and how long it takes? Thanks!

Re: Filling in a pool?
I found that you may need a permit depending on your township.

In most towns you will need a demolition permit (even though you're just filling in). This will be especially important if you want to put in a new one in a couple years.
I worked for a building department for five years, and we visited a lot of pools that were "no-more" checking on safety codes.
