I'm very disappointed. I think the more talented person did not win. Oh well, at least Adam will never have to sing that horrible song again. I'm sure Kris is thrilled to have won, but that song is horrific and it sucks that it will be his first single.

I LOOOOOOOOOVED when Kara came out singing and then when she was wearing the bikini..OMG!!!!!
I havent liked her much all season, but that was freakin AWESOME!!!!!!! Really made me like her!!

adam had a career in broadway to begin with so to me, that's an unfair advantage. they wouldn't let that one contestant stay on the show because she had a previous record deal. kris totally deserved to win.
like i've been saying for the longest time, adam is extremely talented, however he is a PERFORMER.. not a recording artist. he needs to stay with the broadway plays and he'll have a very successful career.

Adam had experience with theater but was never on broadway. Many other contestants have had theater experience or performed in bands. I don't think that gives anyone an unfair advantage. I think Adam's career will span way more than the theater now that he has been discovered. I can't wait to see what he does.

I felt this was one of the best finale's ever, especially with all the guests..
I am so glad that Kris did win, he was so humble about it. Adam was just way over the top for me & even though he will have a career, I don't think he represented the "American Idol"
I was hysterical when Kara came out & flashed her bikini Definately was a highlight!

If Kris had lost, I would have been fine with it...but I just love when the underdog wins.
However, Adam is NOT the loser in this. He is going to have a HUGE career. Though I can't figure out what genre of music he would record....this is why he NEEDS to go back to musical theater!!! I just hear showtunes in his voice! In a way, I would almost prefer Kris had lost...he might have a better career that way! Now he's stuck with the crappy music they give him.
What's bothering me now, though, and I was thinking this might happen- there's a 'backlash' against people who voted for Kris. That they are 'homophobes.' I am most certainly not a part of that group!!

So I heard Kris's single on XM radio already this morning (They don't waste a second huh?)
It is AWFUL.
I like him and he is talented for sure, but that song is NOT for him.
Putting aside the fact that the song itself is just a cheese whiz fest, he can't sing that song.
It is WAY too high for him and even on the radio with all the editing and fixing etc he sound REALLY bad on it...
It's the worst first single I've heard so far from any of the winners...
I bet Danny Gokey would have done it more justice...

This was by far the most talented season of Idol ever - imo. Both Adam & Kris deserved to make it to the bottom 2. Both are super talented - just in different aspects. Regardless who won - both will be set after this.
Personally, I feel Adam is sooo over dramatic when he sings/performs. Its just not necessary...he's talented - why must he always take it over the top...I still think his version of "Tracks of my Tears" was AMAZING.
The song that was written for the winner to sing is MUCH better suited for Kris...Adam's voice DOES not work with that song - at all. My DH & I were cringing while Adam sang his version.

ITA, i love Kris and could totally see buying his album. Adam I will see on Broadway and he will sell out shows for years!
But I didn't love the humble act Kris had last night, get over it- we all voted for you, live it up and love it!

I think it is awesome that Kris won. He is more the type for this show-a cute, pop star kind of guy with a good voice.
Adam-I don't care for Adam myself, but I think he's a good performer. However, he is not pop star material-he is more of a showman. Like a male version of Cher. I could see him in Vegas eventually, after Broadway and some other kooky stuff.

I'm really NOT happy Kris won. I really feel Adam deserves it. He's so talented and can perform and sing anything. Kris can sing but isn't anything that special-IMHO.
To be an artist u need to sing and be creative but u also need to know how to perform (for shows and concerts). Adam really can display this and should have been the winner.
I was a Allison or Danny fan as well.

who cares who won? The showdown of the night was not between Adam and Kris, it was between Kara and Bikini Girl!!!
I LOVED THAT!!
I loved Ryan saying "I'd ask you what's new but I think I already know".
I loved that her voice cracked on the first note.
I love that Kara sang the ish out of that song.
I love that Bikini girl tried to compete with Kara while she was singing and they turned her microphone off.
I love that Kara had the guts to rip open her dress and held her own in a bikini.
And I love that she was modest and was holding her dress closed afterwards.
Bikini girl needed to be taken down.
IMO, best finale ever. I also loved Adam singing with Kiss and that Kris won. Adam will do just fine in life, I'm sure.
