Finding out the Gender?

Sorry posted before I typed!!

Anyway, this is my 3rd baby and I didn't find out the gender for my first two. However this time we are finding out!! I don't know how I waited with the other two bc I am DYING to know what this baby is!!

I have an appointment in 2 weeks and I will be 15 weeks. My OB does a sono at every appt. Has anyone found out the gender at 15 weeks??

Finding out the Gender?

I wouldn't trust a scan at 15 weeks. I know a few people who at 16 weeks were told girl and ended up finding out boy at 20 weeks.

If it's done 3d I do believe they can see the gender by 15-16 weeks.

The opposite happened to me... They told me boy at 16w at my a/s they said it was a girl... Either ask for a blood test or wait till at least 18w to try and find out

Re: Finding out the Gender?

I did a 3d at 16 weeks and she said "I think they are girls"
Went again at 17 weeks and she said "girls"

It was confirmed at 20 week scan that I was having twin girls

Re: Finding out the Gender?

My anatomy scan is on Thursday (I'll be 18wk2d) and I'm anxious to find out too!! I agree with the others that I wouldn't even bother with a 15wk gender guess. A blood test is totally different, but with a sono I think it's just too unpredictable so I'd wait until at least 18wks to trust it.

My OB guessed at 16 weeks and the tech confirmed it at my 20 week anatomy scan. I have a picture from the 16 week sono of his boy parts, clear as day!

Re: Finding out the Gender?

We found out at our 20 week sonogram but we went to the same guy who did the NT at 12 weeks and he had it written down from then that it was a boy. I guess depending on the position of the baby and the experience of the tech it's possible to find out sooner.
