Re: Fire Island places to eat and things to do??

The ferry stops at a few different places on FI so you should decide where you want to go.
Fireisland.com has a few suggestions under what to do...
If you are in Ocean Bay park the two big restaurants there I would say are Flynn's and Schooners
Ocean Beach probably has the most action and most places to shop and eat-you can walk to it from Ocean bay park but it is a little bit of a hike Houser's Bar and Grill is a local favorite place to eat there
As far as things to do really it is a beach island with beach activities, kyacking, boating, biking,fishing... there is the FI lighthouse which you can get into and see the nice views.
Just go eat relax lay on the beach and enjoy your time! Have a nice day!Chat Icon

I read in a local parents magazine that Watch Hill is supposed to be great for families. I posted on here and got no response so maybe it's not well known. Might be worth checking out! Have fun Chat Icon

If you leave from Savyille you'll go to Sailor's Haven and there really isn't anything to eat unless you walk.

Your best bet is to take the ferry from Patchogue and go to Davis Park. There is a choice of what to eat and ice cream strand too.
