First Actual LIPA bill
I guess we have been on estimates, because every month out lipa bill has been anywhere from 25 dollars to 90 dollars.
Which has been nothing compared to what i hear from everyone else.
So our bill this month is 930 dollars!!!!!!
DH knew it would be alot since we were on estimate for so long, but its just shocking.
He wasnt as shocked as i was though.

You could easily figure out what your bill would be by looking at your meter. Just multiply the KWH used by .21 and you can get your numbers.

How do you know if you are on estimated? I jusy paid a little under $100 for our first month and we are not living there yet. i can't inagine paying $100 a month then getting nailed with a $1000 bill.

I know you mentioned your DH had a server room where all the computers are run......................IS this on a different meter or combined withteh house? Running multpiple computer and file servers 24 hours a day COSTS A LOT.......... Computers draw in a lot of energy.......
We have a file server in house as well but after a few months of outrageous electricity bills I only turn it on when I need to access files..................

Actually our server room is not even hooked up, he just installed the racks and still has to install the computers, so there is nothing down there running yet. just an empty basement....imagine when we have it hooked up

Oh crap.........I don't know what to tell you.........I would start keeping track of the meter myself. I have had them write down the wrong numbers on the meter before and charge us extra.......And I'd start praying about when he hooks the computers up..........

haha yea, and its not even hooked up yet.
10 appliances in kitchen, halogens in all the highhats, a pool with electric heater, and fiberoptic lighting.
I duno, but alot of stuff isnt even hooked up, i am hoping its not going to be liek 2k a month for lipa
