First b-day party centerpieces-- opinions please
We're doing DD's party at a park in their building. It's going to be a sit-down type thing, but more laid-back. I'm not doing favors, for example.
Should I do centerpieces? The tables are smaller, 6-8 people per table. If yes, should I do balloon centerpieces, or flower pot centerpieces with gerber daisies (the theme of the party is sort of garden)
Another question-- if I do the flowerpot centerpieces, should I put some balloons elsewhere to make it look festive/kid-like? Where? How many bunches would I get? I have no experience with balloons

If it's going to be at a park I think balloons would be a great idea. Kids love balloons!!

Definitely flower pots--I think that is so cute especially with the theme. Balloons look great too, but I've been at many a party where the kids pull them off the tables and run around like crazy people with them and it kinda defeats the purpose --so no balloon centerpieces for me!

The flower pots. Balloons outside sometimes are annoying with the wind and they also can pop in the heat.

Oh, I forgot to add that this park is very eco-conscious, so they don't want us giving the kids balloons at the end b/c they don't want them getting away and polluting the environment-- which I do get, but it would be tricky.

In that case I would definitely go with the flowerpots with flowers. If you do the balloons you will have to worry about the kids wanting to play with them all day.

Definitely flower pots.
I had balloons at our party last weekend and they all popped due to the heat.
