First beta low any success stories
Hello- I have been doing IVF for a year after losing my baby at 23 weeks from naturally trying. Decided to switch doctors and while doing so got pregnant. Went for Beta at 3 weeks a 5 days and the Beta was only 45. Repeating it tmrw. I need some success stories !

Re: First beta low any success stories
You really can’t judge a beta on it’s own, it really matters more how it doubles. All betas started out at 0. They have to rise from somewhere.
Don’t forget with conceiving naturally, it’s very hard to be absolutely sure of the very day you conceived. At this early stage, a day can make a big difference in the beta level.
I’m not trying to provide false hope, just a reasonable outlook that this beta is not good or bad. You just need more info.
Wishing you lots of luck!!!

First beta low any success stories
Fingers crossed!
For my first pregnancy my first #s were 64 and then 5 days later it was over 4000.
That pregnancy gave me a healthy, rambunctious 1.5 year old who will be a big sister in March :)
Like someone else mentioned - its the doubling that matters!
Keep us posted :)

Re: First beta low any success stories
3 weeks 5 days would be less than two weeks since your transfer, right? That's a little early. My doctor wanted to see it above 50 at 2 weeks post retrieval/fertilization which would be about 4 weeks. Beta should double every 48 hours or so. I don't think 45 is that low considering where you are. The most important thing is that it doubles. Good luck!

I did not, but I know many that did. It can be very normal to spot

Like Nervous Nell, I know quite a number of women who spotted and had perfectly healthy pregnancies. But always best to check with the doctor.

I had more than spotting - I had bright red bleeding for both pregnancies. It COULD be normal. But it could also not me. There's no way to know this early on.
Either way, if you're spotting, make sure they check your progesterone levels.

Spotting can be normal, especially if you’re using progesterone suppositories or recently had sex. That whole area is just much more sensitive now.
