First doctor's appt.
Hi everyone, first time posting on this board. I got my BFP on Sunday. I was wondering when everyone first went to the obgyn and what is done at the first appt.? Doctors freak me out, so I am dreading this and all future appointments.

Congratulations on your BFP!!!
I havent had my first official Dr. visit yet but at 6weeks I did meet with the nurse and she did go over all info. I needed and how the pratice works etc. They did do a urine test and she answered any questions I had. She also sent me for blood work. Once my blood work came back 2 days later she sent me for my first ultrasound at 6wks...done by the sono tech, still havent seen the Dr. This Mon. (I'll be 10wks) I have my first official Dr. appt. Nurse told me they will be doing a pap test that day as well as answering any more questions. Then after that I go monthly for check ups and such. Dont be scared, you should be looking forward to these visits...its def. not the same as going to see the Dr. when you're sick

I got mine Sunday too Im going Oct 5th and they told me they will do blood, talk and may do a sono.

Thank you!! I'm not sure how far along I am, maybe 3-4 weeks? So I have to start looking for an OB, I can't help but be nervous! Maybe it'll go away after the first appointment.
