first OB appt!! doctor RAVE & 3d Sono!!
so i had my first appointment tonight with dr. Goldstein in great neck. he was recommended to us by dr. B.
even though Dr. B said he tries to recommend doctors that have similar personalities as he does,i have to say i was nervous before the appointment because i was expecting a normal, cold, to the point ob/gyn. Dr. Goldstein was suprisingly warm and friendly!!  He took a lot of time to talk to us and was funny and seemed genuinely caring. i only had to wait about 20 mins for the appointment, and i had a lot of paperwork to fill out so after that i only waited like 5 minutes!
all of the staff was friendly.
i got another sono and he switched on the 3d!!!   i was soooo not expecting this and SO excited!! we also heard the heartbeat for the first time(we've seen it every sono at dr. B, but never heard it before)!! it was so amazing!!!  and i get to go back from my ultrascreen in just 2 weeks!! woohoo!
overall the appointment was very thorough (history, bloodwork, sono, two meetings with the doctor in his office) and i REALLY liked dr. Goldstein's vibe! very laid back but also in control, def not an alarmist!! he also agreed with all of dr. B's meds and treatment for me thus far, which is really important cause i don't like when doctors try and undermine each other.
anyway i wont bore you all with every detail but i really had a great appointment. i was also going to see dr. Rifkin at great neck ob/gyn, but i think Dh and i liked Goldstein so much that we aren't going to bother with another doctor. i have my last dr. B appointment this saturday and i feel a little more comfortable letting go now that i feel i have an OB that i like (at least so far  ). looks like im going from dr. B to dr. G!
here is the 3d sono pic from today, we are measuring ~10w3d. you can see the baby's head on the left and the little hands over the eyes !! you also sort of see the legs and feet and the umbilical cord on the right (its clearer in person). enjoy Image Attachment(s):

Oh wow I didn't even realize that's what you'd see at 10 weeks. Congratulations! I'm so glad you love your OB. Good luck on your last RE appt, I had mine yesterday.

I just came across this site and am so happy to see your post! I have an appointment with Dr. Goldstein Thursday:) Looks like we are due around the same time as well. I am 10w4days. He recommended to me by my RE at Cornell.
