First Dr. appointment at 8 weeks.
When they do a sono, is it an internal or just above the belly?
Also, was DH in the room with you the whole time? I'm not sure if I should have him wait in the waiting room till the sono, or have him there the whole time.
Tomorrow at 2:15 can't come soon enough!

most likely an internal. Yes he was there the whole time.

mine was actually an external when i went around 8.5 weeks.
DH came in the room with me.

I had an internal and took a phone video thingie bc DH had to work.

First Dr. appointment at 8 weeks.
mine was internal at 6 and a half weeks - DH came to the entire sono. I also had a regular OB appointment done that day (DH was not there for that) and a random get-to-know-you discussion with the doctor (DH was there). Oh, and a quick blood test (no DH). So yeah, he was in and out the entire appointment

My first sono was internal-and yes DH was in the room the whole time. At the very beginning of my appointment my OB just had me sit in her office and asked me some family medical history questions; then we met up with DH in the exam room for the sonogram. Then we all returned to her office to go over the do's and don'ts.

It was internal for me. DH was in the room the entire time for every visit. Little did I know they were doing a PAP smear that day too, but honestly its so quick, he couldn't see anything and it really was not a big deal! He had no idea what was really going on while they did that anyway!

It depends on the practice. For both pregnancies, I had an external sono.

I had an internal and a pap. Yes, they are in different rooms, but DH was with me for the pap. Hey, he's going to see a lot more in 8 months so you might as well get used to him seeing you in stirrups!

they were not in different rooms for me, i never got off the table, pap then sono, DH was there, really unphased by the whole thing, took 30 seconds for the pap.
