First Songram Results
I have good news, and some cautionary news.
The good news is that we saw two heartbeats and both were measuring correctly. Which is a definite YAY!
However, Dr. B. has a few concerns that are keeping us from being fully over the top with joy.
Baby A has implanted very low in my uterus and close to my previous c-section scar. He didn't really say why this was something to be concerned about, just that he was concerned with the implantation position. My head was so swimming that I didn't even ask, but in the light of day today I assume it's because he's concerned that the placenta will implant low and in the wrong place.
Baby B is where the bigger concern is. The sac is surrounded by quite a bit of blood which is why I have been and continue to spot. He isn't sure if the blood is from the placenta not attaching or possibly detatching.
He was his typical, kind of a downer self, and we are not sure where to go with this info. He told us that these concerns are not the "worst" and that we should try not to be too upset. I have no idea what any of that really means. We are basically pregnant with twins but in limbo again. He told us there is nothing I, or the doctors, can do to help ease these concerns. I'm either going to miscarry or I'm not. And even if I don't, there's no guarantee there won't be complications later on.
He has released me to my OB/GYN and even with a call from Dr. B to the office, the earliest they can see me is next Friday since he's on vacation. In the end, it doesn't much matter. Seeing him earlier really won't make a difference in what does or doesn't happen.
I continue to have spotting, and I am supposed to continue my suppositories. I woke up today vowing to try to focus on the good news - 2 hearbeats!! - and trying to worry less about the possible problems...which is still easier said than done.
My DH is much more focused on the positive and is hopeful that when we see our OB/GYN we'll have some better news. My DH is awesome...and I have some fabulous friends who just really picked me up and are helping me to stay strong.
Any prayers and good wishes and good thoughts would be so very appreciated...

You just summed up everything I felt yesterday - it seems like the roller coaster is one you just can't seem to get off...
