first sono.. 7 or 8 weeks?

i have one scheduled where ill be at 7w2d. should i just reschedule and wait for the 8 week mark?

when would the next sono be after that? i know (God forbid) that another MC could happen really at any time, but i know it reduces after 8 weeks, right?

im wondering if i should wait until week 8 to check for heartbeat, etc.. and then i can feel "better" going on from there.

opinions?

I was 7w1d for #1. Saw baby and heartbeat but didn't hear it. Just went for #2 at 10w since that was the earliest they could fit me in.

yeah ive been mulling it over since i wrote the post and i think ill stick with 7! i can always go back.

I would go when you made the appt for. By that point you would see a heartbeat and once you see that chance of mc goes down. They go down again after the firs trimester so 7 or 8 doesn't make much diff.

After that first scan your next one will probably be the nt scan at about 11 weeks.

If it's a healthy pregnancy and you're sure about the dates, you'll see the heart beat by 7 weeks for sure. No reason to wait till 8 weeks. Go and enjoy!

I went at 7 weeks and saw the heartbeat!
