First time Pregnant!!

Hi everyone!! So my LMP was on 6/3 which I believe makes me 5 weeks today..right?? I am having shooting pains on the right side of my underwear line and cramping. No bleeding thank GOD!! Is this normal??

I am sooo excited but so nervous at the same time. IDK what to expect or what pains I am supposed to feel. I keep fearing that something is going to go wrong.

I had all kinds of strange pains and cramping the beginning. I am 12 weeks and I am still having some pulls and stuff. Its just growing.

If its severe and there is blood then worry.

First of all, congratulations! And good luck!

When is your first doctor's appointment? My OB got me in as soon as I was pregnant, which was fantastic. He immediately put me on progesterone supplements and extra folic acid. He is an OB who believes the beginning is the most important time of the pregnancy so he makes his staff make an appt immediately for anyone who finds out they're pregnant.

One of the hardest things throughout your whole pregnancy is what pains are "normal" and what aren't. Just ask your doctor.

BTW... my doctor eventually upped my progesterone supplements (it was called Prometrium) when he did a blood test and found low progesterone levels, which he said explained my cramps and one itty, bitty spot of blood that freaded me out.

It's just good to be in a doctor's care as soon as you can. And ask ANY question you need to!

This is such an exciting time in my life but such a scary time too. I am trying to keep calm but it is soooo hard to do!

yes, i had all kinds of cramping/pulling/etc in the first trimester!

I had my first Dr's appt on 7/5. They got me in the day I called. My Dr too likes to do early tests to make sure all of your levels are where they should be. Thank goodness because my progesterone levels were low and I am now taking prometrium as well. 100 mg one time a day. I have another appt on 7/14. I am sure they will check my levels again to make sure.
I keep checking to make sure there isnt any blood on the TP!

Congratulations on your BFP! It is completely normal to have cramping and pulls, twinges, pinches in the beginning. I got menstural like cramps around the time of my period for the first 3-4 months of being pregnant. Call your doctor and make your first apt. if it makes you feel better, let them know about the pains you are experiencing.

first of all congrats and welcome!

For me I had cramping which felt like menstrual cramps. My doctor told me that it was normal to feel the cramps and it was not unusual to continue to feel them until the second trimester, he explained it was my uterus stretching, but that is what my doctor told me. You may want to call your doctor just to be sure and it may help calm your nerves

I agree with everything the PP's have said! I had all sorts of cramping in the begining.. and still some now at week 9.

Congratulations! I had cramping early on too, and my OB said as long as there was no bleeding it was perfectly normal!

I think I am going to wait it out. I have another appt on 7/14. If it gets bad then I am going to call again.

congrats!!! we're actually in similar timeframe. my lmp was 6/1! i haven't had any shooting pains but i have had some cramping which i think is normal. best of luck and hope to hear more from you during your pregnancy here!

Congrats to you too!!!!We are only 2 days apart!! I keep hearing it is normal but it still is freaking me out

Congrats and welcome The cramping is totally normal, I am now 11 weeks and still get some cramps here and there. Try not to google too much as you can just drive yourself insane with the "what if's". I also think it's normal to be scared but try not to let the fear overshadow the excitement that you are feeling.
