First time using OPK...please help me out =)

So this is our 6th month TTC, so I decided to try an OPK. I thought I knew when I was ovulating the other months, but apparently I was wrong. Anyway, today I bought the First Response one with two lines. I hope this is a good one. Sorry if this is a silly question, but is there a certain time of the day that I should use it? I am hoping I could use it when I get home from work around dinner time. Also, once it shows up that I am going to be ovulating, when are we supposed to BD? that same day? the next? TIA!

they say to hold in urine and dont drink for 4 hours. best time to test is between 2 and 8 pm. when you get your smiley, BD that day and the next 3. good luck!!! edited because you arent using the digital. youre using the lines. so when you get two lines; the first darker than the second, then thats when you start bding every day for 4 days. am i right girls?

sorry edited my post. i use digital which gives you smiley. when u get the test line to be the same or darker than the control line, then BD every day for 4 days.

ITA with belee...

Once you get the two lines (test line DARKER than control line), you'll want to BD that day and the following 3 days.

Some people also like to BD every other day starting at CD 10 until they get their +OPK. That's up to you!

I much prefer the smileys!

But if you already bought the line ones, maybe get a pack of smileys and just use it to confirm once you think you have a positive result - that way you won't use ALL of them and you can still have them for next month!
