Re: Fish question...
I believe you can have salmon, as long as its cooked, but keep to a minimum.. I think once a month is okay. get the book what to expect when expecting it tells you everything.

I bought it I just feel like I'm flipping through it. I need to start in the front, and just read page by page..

Re: Fish question...
Look at the diet section, it will tell you what fish and how much you can have of it.

Re: Fish question...
I love salmon too, but have been staying away from it, especially when eating out, because I don't want to eat the salmon that has the coloring dye in it.

Re: Fish question...
I would ask your doc - this is one of the areas where they differ. 1x a month is a bit extreme IMO. I have salmon or shrimp or some other serving of fish 1x a week and my doctor is totally fine with that.

Salmon is one of the healthiest fish you can eat.
You can have it once a week at least.

Same here. Specifically w/ salmon, the omega-3 is really good for you!

Re: Fish question...
I'm a pescatarian - meaning, no meat, but plenty of fish.
I consulted with my ob/gyn when I was pg to ask about what I shoud eat, and how I should adapt my diet.
When I told him what I eat on a daily basis, he told me I was leaps and bounds ahead of most pg women - apparently the fatty acids in Salmon is SO good for your baby's development.
Stay away from large fish with mercury though. I usually eat salmon once a week, and then small, white fishies, like Tilapia, two to three times a week.
My kid is JUST fine (other than the attitude )
