flood insurance?
Do insurance companies still offer flood insurance for LI? We have seen some houses south of montauk, and i am concerned if there were any major storms, flooding could be a problem there.... I know that some companies aren't even offerening homeowners anymore, what about flood ins?

Yes they are. Don't know what town you are in but Percy Hoek is an agent in Sayville and they will get you flood insurance.

Flood insurance is a federal program. Your homeowners company can get it for you, but it's through the government, anyone can get it, and depening on if you live in a flood plain you may be required to get it. The max they will give you is $250,000.
