No, I thought they weren't supposed to have floride until 2 years old. My ped. told me to make sure that I was using floride free toothpaste.

How funny, Aidan just asked for his vitamins!

yes, I asked about vitamins with fluoride around 7-8 months. If your baby drinks tap water they do not need the fluoride supplement but our water is fluoride free. And he drinks bottled anyway.

They are called Tri Vit with Fluoride, I used to put it in his juice but he likes them so sometimes he just opens his mouth!

ETA: his toothpaste is fluoride free

Interesting...sine we use the same ped. At 6 months we started with the Poly drop vitamins with floride (I just checked my bottle).

I just checked, it is the vitamin with floride, but at the last visit Dr. Andy asked what kind of toothpaste, and said to make sure it was floride free, that I should wait until she's 2 for that. Chat Icon These doctors totally confuse me sometimes.

what I think it is is that the fluoride that they need (prior to two) is the small amount found in tap water and/or vitamin supplements. anything else is too much at that age.
