Flu shot time again

Last year was my first time ever getting a flu shot and I waited until AFTER I gave birth to get it (I had both reg and swine flu vaccs)
This year, DS will be in daycare, so it is highly recommended. I'm going to get it for the both of us. I'm not crazy about the idea, but I'd rather get it for us than to have him/me sick.

Do they have the combined h1n1/regular shot for infants/kids?
DS got the regular shot last year, but not h1n1. If they have the combined, I'd like him to have that this year. Our next appt is mid-Sept and I was going to ask the ped then.

I don't think that I have ever gotten the flu shot....ever LOL. My ped already has an appt to have DS get his in about 4 weeks... I was up in the air about it but DH wants it done...so we'll be getting him done. Me, I think I'll bee good HAHAHA

DH & myself have never gotten the flu shot before but this year we'll get the pneumonia vaccine instead. DS Ped is already pressuring me to get him the flu shot even tough I don't want him to.
Does anyone know if it's safe to give the pneumonia vacinne to infants?

I will not be getting the flu vaccine. I never have.
Landon will be getting it, especially since he will be in preschool this year and we have the newborn twins at home.

Myself and my kids got it last year. It was DD's first year I think. I will not do H1N1 though. Too new for my liking.

If you do the flu shot this year you will be giving the H1N1 b.c it is part of the regular flu vaccine this year.
We do it - esp DH many times it is the parents who bring things home esp from work. I get it - and with DD#1 who gets spasmodic croup from allergies - I worry about her having problems with the flu. DD#1 is in preschool and DD#2 does classes and playdates so they are out and exposed.
Neither DD has ever had any complications from the shot - so why not give them some extra protection.

We will be getting both the flu shot and H1N1... I got the reg flu shot last year while I was pregnant and the H1N1 after I had DS...

Everyone in our household will get one this year.
Me: Last year I got one from my OBGYN because I was pregnancy and couldn't get the standard shot. This year I will get it at work.
DH: got it last year at work and will get it this year (on a side note...his company gave out pedometers with the shot and he challenged ME...I work in Manhattan so my 12,500 steps knocked out his 6,000 - I swear he must sit in his chair and roll around the office)
DS1 (3 Yrs old): got the seasonal shot last year but not the H1N1. This year he will get the standard shot.
DS2 (6 months): will get his first flu shot next month.
Both boys are in daycare so I opt to get it for them. H1N1 was a hard decision for me last year but we opted out much to my pediatrician's disapproval. Thankfully we were all fine. My understanding is that it is included with the seasonal this year...I am fine with that.

My ped strongly recommended it last year so both DD and I got it. DH is allergic to eggs so he can't have it.
I got pregnant about 2 weeks after I got hte shot and DH got the flu at Thanksgiving r so I was very happy to not catch it from him.
I'll be putting both DC on the list at the ped's office tomorrow to get it (unless DS is too young for it? IDK), and I'll get mine when my office gives them out again.

We're all getting it this year. DS's doctors have the combined vaccine with no preservatives. He ordered extras for parents too.

I'm not sure, I never get it, and I never get the flu.
DS will be 6 months next month and I have no idea what I'm going to do. I'm okay with all the vaccines he's getting. I just feel like flu shot doesn't really work, they have to predict the strain that will affect people and lately they do a terrible job of it.
I'm really on the fence.
