Flying - Can I bring juice/milk boxes for a toddler?
This is my first time flying with the kids, can someone fill me in on the rules for carrying on snacks/drinks for them?

I was only allowed to bring one juice box on the plane and snacks were not a problem.
They threw out all the juice I had when we went through security

Snacks are fine but no liquids. I flew alone with my son when he was 8 months old and was told on the phone that I can bring a bottle filled with water for the flight but when I got to security they actually had me open the bottle and poor out the water!

Re: Flying - Can I bring juice/milk boxes for a toddler?
I had no problem bringing 3 milk boxes for my DD (she was 15 months at the time) - I also brought a bottle bag with ice and 1 cup with milk in it.
Honestly I went to the website and printed out the TSA rules (which says Yes to milk and juice for young children in reasonable quantities - which I'm sure is subjective). But many moms on here haven't had problems. I made sure I went thru the family line for security and I told them I had drinks for my child. They didn't even open anything to check. This was out of LGA - and we flew delta.
If not - there are PLENTY of places to buy juice and milk on the other side (we had a 7am flight and had no problems with things being open at 530/6am). You could bring a baggie and a cooler bag and if they take your liquids you could go to one of the counters and ask for some ice.
Etd to add be careful about snacks - on the list on TSA's website they list things you can't bring - like peanut butter, jello, pudding, basically soft snacks. Things like cheerios, pretzels, etc you won't have any problems with.

I've gotten water, formula, juice and snacks through for DD....even on an international flight. Honestly, it all depends upon the person you get at security. If they take it away, you can always buy milk once you get through security.
