Re: Flying in 1st trimester
Its not a problem. I flew to California at 10 weeks. Just make sure you drink a lot of water and get up to walk/stretch every two hours. My doctor said that even just getting up to go to the bathroom is enough of a walk. The reason you need to get up is fear of developing blood clots.
Have a great trip!

Re: Flying in 1st trimester
I flew to London at 10 weeks and was fine. The worst part was needing to use the bathroom a million times. Good thing I had an aisle seat! If you don't already have one, I highly recommend checking if you can switch

Re: Flying in 1st trimester
I was about 7 weeks when we flew to Puerto Rico. I was told the same things: to get up often to walk around, drink a lot and go to the bathroom a lot. Make sure you get an aisle seat.
I took a bunch of crackers with me because I was feeling sick at the time.

Re: Flying in 1st trimester
I flew back from California at just over 14 weeks and had my only real "morning sickness" episode on the plane. I hadn't eaten all day, and there was turbulence, and I felt so sick! Flying is not dangerous to you or the baby (as long as your OB okay's it, of course) but my advice would be to NOT fly on an empty stomach.

Re: Flying in 1st trimester
I flew during all three pregnancies. First trimester not a problem. Just make sure if you are dealing with ms that you have some snacks for yourself.

Re: Flying in 1st trimester
I flew to Seattle, WA when I was just 6 weeks. It was a straight flight from the east coast. As others said, just get up to stretch out every once and a while.
Have a safe trip!
