Flying Jet Blue with a 9 month old...Questions!!

In March we are traveling to Florida via Jet Blue, and thanks to all of you, most of my questions were answered through doing a search.... But....

I'm staying at family's houses were there kids are all grown up.. What do I do as far as DC sleeping??

Do we bring the PnP?? And check it?? Do they charge extra for that???

Do we buy one of the Travel Beds by Kidco? Is that safe for a 9 month old???

I don't know what to do... DC doesn't sleep with us, so I'm kind of at a loss....

What did you do for toys??? He LOVES is excersauser, but i don't want to have to bring that.. What do I bring to keep him occupied??

Any help is very much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

OH...!!!! One more question!!!!

Does Jet blue play movies during the flight?? Or do I need to bring the portable DVD player for him too????

Can I hire someone to carry everything for me??!!!! Just kidding!!!Chat Icon

Re: Flying Jet Blue with a 9 month old...Questions!!

We're going away the end of next month and DS will be about 9 mons then. We bought a portable PnP we plan on checking. This way he has his own type of crib to sleep in.

As for toys... Just packing the small ones he loves. We're on vacation so we figured we'll be out so much that DS can play on the beach and in the pool. We'll buy some toys there that are cheap enough to leave there if needed.

Don't forget your bjorn. I think Jetblue plays movies. Isn't there a TV at every seat. We're flying jetblue also. Leaving the portable DVD player, but we do have the notebook laptop and downloaded movies onto it.

If you are really worried about toys, there are companies you can rent them from. I looked into this when we went to Florida last summer. We wound up not using them. I packed a few small toys for DS to play with and it was more than enough.

As for sleeping, I would suggest you check your PNP. We went to Disney so we didn't need to bring one. Flying Jet Blue with a little one was the best experience ever! It made flying so much better.

I believe you can rent cribs, high chairs, toys etc from baby's best friend and other services. Otherwise you would probably have to lug down the pnp which is a pain.

They have tvs - but sometimes yours might be broken so it is up to you since it is another thing to lug.
