flying to florida
do i need a carseat for DD on the plane? she is 3. we will be flying out of Detroit and my parents will be driving down with the carseat in their car. i am nervous as heck to be doing this if we go. flight alone with a 3yr old full of spunk i will call it!

No. If you will have one waiting for you when you get to Florida then you definitely do not need one on the plane.

I am flying with my almost 1 year old to Florida for the 8th time since she was born-you don't have to bring her car seat on. If you can, I think it is safer, but I know my DD refuses to sit in it and squirms and cries. At three, she can probably just sit in the seat without the car seat.

I heard it was safer if they are strapped in the car seat, but it's not necessary to have one if you're going to have one waiting for you down in FL.

thanks! i wont be bringing one then...its about a 2 hour flight and my parents will pick us up when we get down there.

I didnt when we went to FLA and Aruba! We were fine and my almost 2 yr old was a lap child!
