Flying with toddle carseat!

We are going to bring DD's carseat on the plane to put in her seat, this way she is strapped in. Two questions:l
1. How do you carry it around the airport? LOL.
2. Does it take up a ton of room in the actual seat on the plane? I'm worried DH and I are going to be squished next to her.

We recently did this and it worked out great. I bought a bag for the car seat at Buy Buy Baby. It had straps to wear it like a backpack and also had wheels. (They sell very expensive ones, but I bought the cheep one for $30 and it was fine.) On the plane it really didn't take up that much more room than a normal adult would. They make you put in the window seat. Also, it's somewhat tricky to get the seat belt though the seat. Definitely ask the flight attendant for help. They are pros. One more thing that we did that worked out really well was my husband boarded early to install the seat and I waited for normal boarding to go on with my daughter. This way he could install the seat without us taking up more room and less time on the plane with a toddler : ) Good luck!!

Flying with toddle carseat!

Just did it with our DD, my husband carried it through JFK, it was quite a sight! We boarded the plane early, installed it, and she slept almost te while flight. I'm glad we used it - and we didn't have to put it in the window seat, we used the middle.

We used a Britax Marathon...my husband wore it like a backpack. Didn't seem to bother him much...lol
