I didnt do the usual nuts, honey, or whole egg. I started with just the yolk first.

We tried cheese and ds did fine so we also tried yogurt.

My boys were 5 weeks early, and we did not start anything at thier adjusted age, only thier regular age. 5 months veggies, 6 months fruits, 9 months yogurt, 10 months egg yolk.

We waited a year for milk, egg whites,
nuts, strawberries.

They made the total switch from baby food to table food later then most, but they were offered the food on the regular schedule. My little guy who had a bunch of issues and was much smaller then a normal 35 weeker took a bit longer to be able to chew bigger pieces and not gag, but everything was introduced at the same time as his twin.

Our Ped has always had her on a FT schedule, shots everything. She wants to eat everything lol

Was it baby yogurt???? Opps we already tried strawberries (she loves them) But I always worry about stuff that has milk in it....

my twin preemies are now 14mos 11mos adjusted. We have basically done alot of the things accoriding to their real age. The only things I definitely still don't give are honey, nuts, strawberries and egg whites (I just need to clarify w/ the doctor before I give the whole thing, they have had the whole thing in baked things though.) Did you ped. give you a breakdown of what they want to have at each age? If so, I would stick to that with the regular age.

We are still on bottles and will be for atleast another month because that they said developmentally they are not ready to switch. We shall see, they seem to think the sippy is a fun toy!Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: We have been eating Yobaby yogurt for what seems like forever now. They said to start them slow with it. Do a half of container and see if there is a reaction continue this way for a few days then go to the whole container. Thankfully no reactions and they loved it!!

Thanks so much ladies.

I gave her little taste of yogurt and she made a face--it was the cutest. I also gave her a taste of ice cream and she loved it.
