For Anyone Who Has Used East Coast Fertility Over The Past 5 Months...Insurance Related Question
I had my IVF mid January. I am happy to report thanks to it I am now almost 5 months pregnant.
Here is my question. Have any of you received a bill from them? I mean I am not complaining but I never though any office would take almost 5 months to want to be paid. I mean my insurance covered it mostly. I never paid co-pays so I was expecting a bill with definitely $500-$800 and still nothing. I even see they billed my insurance (GHI) at the beginnnig of April (that's 6 weeks ago) and I have yet to get anything. Could it be wishful thinking that they aren't going to ask for my copayments? I also froze 4 embryos and my insurance covered for 6 months so starting June I should be at least getting a bill to have to pay $100 a month for that. Hummm..
Thanks

My girlfriend used East Coast and said the same thing and you're saying. Her and her husband were stunned they didn't get a bill, but they just let it be. I am not sure, but I think her insurance was GHI.
Forgot to add, this was over two years ago.

OMG, I was just thinking the same thing myself. I only went for about a month, about 5 months ago too. I went to the West Islip office. I never paid a copay, and I never got a bill. I am waiting for one, but definately not asking for one.

I am going there as well. I never received a bill from them either. But I did however just received a check from the insurance company, so they did bill the insurance company. I don't pay co-pays either, because of the insurance I have. the EC doctor I am seeing is not in-network and they are waiving the other 20% my insurance company isn't covering.

I go to East Coast and the thing is since they are out of network for me my insurance will only cover 80% and I have to pay copays. When I spoke to the billing dept. at East Coast they said as a courtesy they waive the 20% and copays. So you don't have to pay anything. If I was to go to LI-IVF I would have been covered 100%. Since ECF waives the 20% I am covered 100%. That is prob. why you haven't received any bills.
