For Bfing/ Pumping moms

When you stopped .. di u stop all at once.. or slowly stopped and were you engorged? If so how long and what did you do to relieve pain?

I started slowing down pumping (longer interval between sessions and shorter sessions) but ended up having to stop completely cold turkey b/c of an abcess that I was hospitalized to relieve. I don't remember feeling any painful engorgement, but I had Ace wraps on and was using ice packs b/c of the surgery. My doc told me to wear a sports bra for 2 weeks and to use ice packs to relieve any engorgement.
