For BTDT moms... Infant Movement Sensors
For you moms that have had the Infant Movement Sensor pads... How do you feel about them?
I have such a fear of SIDS... I thought that this would be such a peace of mind item to have. No one purchased it for us at our shower though, and I am thinking of going out to purchase it for myself.
What are your thoughts?

Re: For BTDT moms... Infant Movement Sensors
I have the angel care monitor as well and even though it goes off every night I still sleep much better with it... since my son started sleeping on his tummy, the sensor gives me a peace of mind... it goes off because he is a restless sleeper and travels throughout the whole crib during the night, so the sensor goes off once in a while but it really doesnt bother me that much, I am glad to know that it is working...

Re: For BTDT moms... Infant Movement Sensors
Have Angelcare and couldn't sleep well w/o it. It goes off every other night or so, b/c DD moves towards the sides of the crib. It doesn't scare me when it goes off, I just go in, check on her, and reset the alarm. I DO wish the sensor pad was bigger, it drives me nuts.
We love it so much that I bought one for MIL's house since she watches DD several times a week at her house. I definitely think you should get one, IMO...it works as a regular monitor too (can shut the movement sensor part off if you want to), so to me it's a must.
We don't have a video monitor, b/c I'm paranoid of people seeing the baby (crazy, I know, but that's me )

Re: For BTDT moms... Infant Movement Sensors
I wasn't going to get the Angelcare... Instead I registered for the Babysense V. Does anything know anything about this monitor?
ETA: The reason why I registered for the one versus the other was because the babysense comes with 2 pads.... for when they get longer, and start moving around the crib more. It simply offers an alarm which goes off the same way the Angelcare does, but, no monitor. I already have a monitor for the baby's room.

I absolutely love it. Its the best gift that I received. Honestly, I would pay much more than $100 for it. We also got one for the babysitters house. When we go on vacation, we take it with us. It is extremelly portable.
