For girls with PCOS....
MY IF is believed to be mild PCOS- I do not get AF regularly, and not sure if when I do its because of ovulation...My question is this- Would an ovulation preditor kit work for someone with PCOS ?..Looking ahead in case my RE has us take a break in between cycles , if this IVF didnt work (figured maybe we just might get lucky on our own while we are waiting - after all this stimulation  )...Thanks !

OPKs can work with PCOS, but it's difficult to know when to test if you don't have regular cycles. I used to start testing on CD10 until whenever I would get +OPK. In some cases I never did. I've also gotten false positives as well. That's the one of the nasty parts of PCOS, you just can't trust the OPKs.

From what i know of PCOS, OPK's and fertility monitors are not always accurate and can give false readings.

this is true- if you read the side of the CBEFM it actually has a disclaimer re: PCOS and not always being accurate due to certain IF conditions

ITA with everything already said. I had a false positive about 3 weeks ago and literally brought my monitor TO SCHOOL to show my grade level teachers because I was so excited.
Then the progesterone showed that I never O'd.
