For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
Did you shed the weight quicker with DC # 1 or 2 ????....My DS is only 3 and I can't for the life of me remember how quickly I lost the weight with him ( like how much before I left the hospital etc...) I had gone on Jenny Craig after a couple of months and went way down - but I started this pg. up quite a bit more than I should have been after being on almost a year of fertilty drugs , so I'm hoping the weight doesnt linger too long ...Any feedback ?

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
I gained more weight with my first, so I had more to take off the first time, after my 2nd pregnancy I didn't put on that much weight and most of it came off faster this time, I'm still trying to loose the 30 lbs I need to take off, I went back on Jenny Craig and it really works for me, so I hope to have this weight off by the new year!!

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
Good question. I'm hoping that it comes off quick! With my first, I gained 29lbs and 2 weeks after I gave birth, I had lost 20 lbs (I didn't diet at this point....just ate whenever I was hungry). Then it took me till I was about 4 months to lose the other 9. I wasn't crazy strict, but I was watching what I ate.
I gained 25 lbs with this pregnancy, but I did start 6 lbs less than I did with my first pregnancy. I weighed myself today, 10 days later, and I have lost 14. Again, I am not watching what I eat. I will weigh myself on Sunday (that will be 2 weeks) and start from there. I "said" I was going to start my diet this Monday, but that didn't happen. Oh well!

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
with DD#1 i gained something like 35 pounds, she weighed in at 8 when she was born.
this time around i'm only up 14 pounds and am scheduled for a section a week from tomorrow. DD#2 is predicted to be larger than DD#1.
i started at the same weight with both.
needless to say i am ...
it took me F-O-R-E-V-E-R to shed the weight with DD#1, since i haven't gained as much with DD#2, i'm hoping losing it will be a breeze...

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
Well so far for me- I'm gaining at around the exact same rate as I did with DS so I'm assuming I'll have gained around the same amount ( and hopefully not a pound more - eeks )...Difference this time is that I weighed about 10 lbs more than I did with DS before my BFP this time so I started off heavier than I was last time and that was already over and above my ideal weight- Jenny Craig did wonders for me so I'm hoping that it will work again, if I can't do it on my own

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
I gained the same amount of weight with both DC. 40 lbs. I'm tall so I carried it pretty well. With my DD who is 2 I lost it all very quick with no exercise. I BF for the first 4 months.
With DS who was just born I haven't weighed myself but I have been back in most of my old clothes since he was I'd say 2 months old with no exercise/diet either. BUT...it is pure genetics with me. Is my body the same - definitely not. HTH

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
I gained about 30lbs with both.
I *think* my weight loss has been about the same. I was back in my pp jeans by 2-3 months or so each time. I haven't done anything to encourage the weight loss other than BF but I still have a little pouch (almost 6 months pp now). I don't remember how long that look to go away with #1.

I gained a little more with pregnancy #1, but I think the weight took about the same amount of time - or a little slower but not much with #2.

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
I gained 40-50 lbs with both pg's. I lost it at the same rate, no difference for me whether bf'ing or bottle feeding. I had a c section for my 2nd, and i did notice it took my belly a little while longer to flatten out then it did with my v birth.
Around 1 year PP i weighed less than i did at my wedding 4 years ago!

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
I put on 70+ lbs. with DD#1 It took my about a year to get it all off...got back to my wedding weight...
DD#2 is 3 months old and I put on about 60 lbs...(and this was with gestational diabetes, so obviously I was just prone to gain a lot of weight)...
I have lost 15 lbs and still have 15 more to lose - I'm doing Weight Watchers AGAIN...
I find it much slower the second time around, but I'm in my later 30s, so I'm sure that's a factor...

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
With pregnancy #1, I gained 50 pounds and it took me a while to lose it. With this past pregnancy, I gained 35 pounds and I already lost 25 pounds of that weight. So I only have 10 more pounds to go. This time, the weight seemed to come off a LOT quicker.

Re: For moms on #2 or more re: PP weight loss
i was young when i had DD #1- i gained 50lbs and lost it all and had a great body with in 4 months (i also worked out every day) almost 7 years later i had DS- im still young, but 7 years makes a difference- i gained 38lbs, lost 15 within a week and had to work off the rest. I did WW, exercised, dieted for the first time, then started running. I got PG with this one when DS was 10 months old- i was back to my PP weight but my bones were still not back to their original state. Who knows what will happen with this one. Im trying to gain no more than 20lbs.
