For the umbilical cord stump- how many side snap tees do I need?
I have a package of 4 side-snap tees in newborn and another pack of 0-3 months.
Do I really need both? Just trying to decide which one I should wash and which one to keep.
Sorry for the annoying question!
TIA!

My suggestion is neither-we used regular onesies, and never had a problem with the umbilical cord. The diaper on the baby would irritate the cord more than a onesie, and even the diaper didn't bother it bc we folded it down.
Not sure if that helps or not.

ITA. We never had any side snap tops. We used regular onesies and we just folded the diaper down. never had any problems.

We didn't use any side snap tees. We used regular onesies and it was fine. I would just use what you already have.

i loved the side snap tees! i had a july baby and would put him in those with a diaper since it was so hot. i only used NB size. 4 should be plenty since you do laundry every day at the beginning.

Re: For the umbilical cord stump- how many side snap tees do I need?
I never used the side snap tees at all. Emerson just wore regular feetie PJ onesies from the moment she came home. Since Riley will be born in June you won't need to layer her with those side snap tees under clothes. You know Emme was born in Sept. and I never layered her. Just put her in anything comfy and easy to get into......you'll be changing diapers 1000X a day!

Re: For the umbilical cord stump- how many side snap tees do I need?
We used the side-snaps on both our DS and DD. I would say return the newborn and only keep the 0-3 (the size difference is so small, newborn is not worth it unless you know your having a tiny baby)
The hospital had the kids in side-snaps - they were so soft!!! We used the side-snaps and swaddled!! Good Luck

Re: For the umbilical cord stump- how many side snap tees do I need?
I only used them at the hospital. I actually felt the side ones bother the cord more because thats like right where it ended and would get caught. The one piece onsies never got stuck or caught.

Same here. I loved the side snap tees in the beginning, because it bought me some time before I had to put things over his head
I had a November baby, but still had him in the side snap tees and a diaper because he was always either swaddled or wrapped up in a blanket or two.

Re: For the umbilical cord stump- how many side snap tees do I need?
I used the side snap tees and still remember struggling to get a onsie over DD's head before she could hold her own head up. Having my second child in 7 weeks and still can't figure out how to get a onsie over a newborn's head. Guess I have to clean DD's old side snap tees in a few weeks - LOL

Re: For the umbilical cord stump- how many side snap tees do I need?
I liked the side snap tees at the beginning. I was nervous to put a onesie over DS's head when he was so young and floppy. I think I had 2 packages of the newborn ones and 1 of the 0-3 month ones. DS was 8 lbs 1 oz at birth and wore newborn clothes for at least a month.
