For those following the Caylee Anthony story - little girl from Florida missing
This is the latest:
Grandfather: Casey Anthony stole gas cans before reporting toddler missing
The grandfather of missing Caylee Marie Anthony admits that his daughter, Casey Anthony, stole a couple of gasoline cans from a shed at their home before she reported the toddler's disappearance.
During a televised interview Tuesday with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News Channel, George Anthony said he discovered the gas cans inside the trunk of Casey's car on the same day he had reported them stolen.
"As she opened up the trunk of the car, guess what? The gas cans were there," George Anthony said. "[Casey' s] the one that took the gas cans."
Investigators later recovered those gas cans from the Anthony's Hopespring Drive home on Aug. 1.
George Anthony had called the Orange County Sheriff's Office on June 24 to report the missing gas cans. The sheriff's report shows that the gas cans -- with about $50-worth of gasoline -- were locked inside a shed at their home. Deputies said someone had damaged the door and lock to remove the gas cans.
Later that day, Casey told her father, "It's a shame what happened in the shed," Anthony recalled.
He then asked Casey that he needed a tool that was inside the trunk of her Pontiac Sunfire to rotate the tires on his wife'svehicle, but Casey refused to let him open the trunk. Casey then opened the trunk and her father saw the missing gas cans.
Investigators with the sheriff's office said part of their probe is focused on the trunk of Casey's car. During a bond hearing in July, they described a mysterious stain and hair found in the trunk of her vehicle. They also discovered a foul odor associated with rotting human flesh inside the trunk.
Detectives with the sheriff's office have not said when they expect to receive the forensic results of the evidence found in Casey's car.
Casey Anthony, who has been at the Orange County Jail for nearly three weeks on a $500,200 bond, was formally charged Tuesday on charges of child neglect, a 3rd-degree felony.

I can't believe her parents still stand behind her and her story. If my daughter was missing and I was so callous in nature about it, my Mother would be 1st on line to stab me. I kid you not. NO way would she be all "Not my child!" Your granddaughter is missing and your daughter is being all shady...put two and two together woman!!!

I started following this story last week when it was first on Larry King and it is disturbing. That poor little girl. I don't understand why people do the things they do.

I can't believe her parents still stand behind her and her story. If my daughter was missing and I was so callous in nature about it, my Mother would be 1st on line to stab me. I kid you not. Seriously, I am so mad at her mother and father for backing her up and going on the news channels to try and take the suspicion off of her. If it was me in their shoes and it is very clear that my daughter did something to my grandchild, I would try and force her to admit to what happen and fess up to her actions. I would NEVER sit on live TV and try to focus the investigation on the mysterious "babysitter".
This story is just so sad. She had family that would have taken that baby from her if she found it all too much to handle and instead she kills her.
The whole story is just really sad.

ITA!! Did you see the pics of her out partying 2 weeks after her daughter was reported missing? Having a grand old time it made me sick.

From what I have read & seen, I HATE that little girl's mother. If I saw her, I think I would spit on her. Those pictures of her out partying sicken me.

I've been following very closely...I'm borderline obsessed.
I signed up for google alerts and everytime an article is posted to the internet regarding the case I get an email.
I can't wait til the mother breaks...She's bound to.
I hope that little girl is still alive- although it seems unlikely.

I've been watching as well and everytime their seems to be a slight glimmer of hope, something terrible seems to be found. I think that mother is bound to break as well. She just has too.
I hope this mother rots
