For those of you that had a quick first delivery and had a 2nd DC...
Was your second delivery lightening quick????? I'm not PG yet, but I think DH is having anxiety issues since my first labor was literally 4 hours from start to finish, I was laboring at home for 2 hours and then got to the hospital at 10 and had DD at 1:30 am after like 4 pushes (fast deliveries run in my family) DH is terrified that I may deliver in the car for the next one..and it doesn't help that my OB said to him after I delivered, for the next one, the second you feel ANYTHING ur driving her to the hospital

First delivery was 9 minutes of pushing with 5 pushes, and same exact with 2nd delivery but much more relaxed!

Yes 5 pushes for # 1, 3 pushed for #2 and Dr warned me that #3 might be a home birth There will be no #3!

Yes! Both werre super fast DS arrived 20 minutes after we got the hospital. DD was about 15 minutes.
DH is afraid if we go for #3 he will be delivering him or her in the car!

yup!
my first labor was 6-7 hours from start to finish. but i am convinced that the epidural slowed things down considerably...
second time around i went from 5cm dilated, 60% effaced, and -2 station to giving birth in less than five minutes! so i guess you could say active labor went pretty quickly

I was wondering this also. GOod question. My doc said I might need a helicopter to get there in time. My water broke and dd was born in 30 minutes after 3 pushes.
