For those of you who drink wine
After opening it, does it have to refrigerated? Dh bought a bottle the other night and we only had one glass each (yes I know we're lame) but it has been covered but on my counter. Should I throw it away or drink it
TIA

Ditto. They sell vacuum sealers for wine bottles, but with red, I find after a day or so, it doesn't taste the same. Although, it's very rare that there's an open bottle for more than a day.

I think so ....
But I wouldn't even know how to tell if wine goes "bad"

yep.
we put our whites in the fridge b/c we don't have a fancy wine fridge yet - and i like my whites real cold - but you should be fine. you could use the cork or they sell little tops you can buy to keep the wine sealed.
to me - after like 2 weeks the wine doesn't taste the same - it loses something - so if you don't drink it soon i would toss it - that is what we do.

It'll taste different, but not go bad or anything. My parents keep open wine on their counter for a week or more at a time, its never made them sick.

Re: For those of you who drink wine
it definitely hasn't gone bad..... just cork it and put it in the frige now. worst comes to worst, if it tastes a little off from being open a while, you cook with it....
don't worry about wine going bad.... it just becomes vinegar

Re: For those of you who drink wine
I learned a great trick for wine that's past its shelf-life. Pour it into an ice cube tray, and toss a couple of cubes into soups or stews for seasoning.
