Re: For those of you who had premie babies
i was 31 and a half weeks, she was not on a vent at first but they did for 24 hours, she lost a little weight(which i s normal for all babies) she was born at 4lbs (which is big for that early, they told me she would be 2 to 2 and a half pounds, she was doubled) DD was in the nicu for 2 weeks 3 days and came home on my birthday. they originally told me she would be there till the due date and i was like no way i was going to be there for 2 months. so i worked with dd as much as i could and she did GREAT. DD is now 14 years old, OH MAN I AM OLD

Re: For those of you who had premie babies
My ds#1 was born at 31 weeks 6 days @2lb 9 oz 14 in. He stayed in Nicu for 73 days. We dealt wth vents, cpaps, nasal cannulas,ng tubes,transfusions.....etc...all normal preemie things.
Now he is 2.5 and acts like a 4 year old. He has a vocab level of a child much older. You would never know that he was a preemie and went through so much
