Re: for those of you with bathrooms that are painted...

I dont have a pic but my bathroom tile, tub, toilet, sink and floor are all white. The vanity, mirror and cabinet are dark wood. I have the walls painted Yarmouth Blue by BM, which is a porcelain blue of sorts.

In our master bath, we did a light yellow. In our downstairs bath, we have a light grey/beige.

Re: for those of you with bathrooms that are painted...

I'm living thru he!! right now with this.. we wanted a light blue and got BM "Blue Ice"..... and depending on how you look at it, its either blue or purple - I think it has to do with the light from the fixture. On the walls that the light from the fixture doesn't hit, its blue - where the fixture light is, its purple. Good thing the purple doesn't clash with the tile we're installing...

I didn't know I paid regular price for color changing paint. Chat Icon

I'm hoping when we put up our new fixture, this isn't the case - then again with a new fixture maybe it will look green.

Re: for those of you with bathrooms that are painted...

Our bathroom was a dingy color white that I found depressing. Now it is baby blue or Carolina (UNC) blue. It is a calming color so I don't hate waking up anymore.

We haven't started the painting in our new place yet, but the 1/2 bath will be gray & navy blue, master bath beige with bright green trim, other bath all neutral.

We did both. Our upstairs bathroom is white and our downstairs bathroom is a deep red.

I can't get into Shutterfly at work and our computer at home isn't working so I can't post pics.

Re: for those of you with bathrooms that are painted...

thanks, ladies! everyone's bathrooms look so beautiful. we're just painting one of our bathrooms for now, until we can afford to have it completely redone. the floor is already a beige tile, the sink and toilet also beige. we don't like it necessarily, but we're just doing what we can until we can afford to do more. we were in between doing beige walls or going with a color... purple! i'm a little nervous about it being "too much" but at the same time, our whole house is pretty "safe"... we decided to take the jump. we're going to try color washing with winter gray and tropical dusk (i think) from BM... wish us luck!

Go for the color! We did BM Dusty Road, a neutral color, and it looked like flesh and I hated it! We re-painted it BM Audobon Russet, sort of a burnt orange color, and it looks great! (Sorry no pics) Our tile is dark beige, the vanity is dark espresso, and toilet is white.

We did a light green paint and pale yellow crackle tile in our master bath and a chocolate brown on top molding and a beige color on the bottom in our half bath

I get more compliments on my bathrooms than any other room in my house
