For those planning on getting pregnant!!!
I posted this a while ago, but many of you are new and somebody on the PG board just reminded me:
GO TO THE DENTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't put it off!!!! Get things done! I ended up having 3 emergency root canals during my PG and it was not fun. Remember, you can't have pain killers or xrays during PG. Get your teeth cleaned and your cavities filled now!!!!
Plan dentist appts when you're not in the 2WW. (You've got 2 weeks when you're not in the 2ww every month) If you end up getting PG, then cancel the appt. You can't get dental work done in the first trimester. And other dental work is really only on an emergency basis for the rest of your PG.

Absolutely. Cleanings are super important because gum disease is linked to premature babies  Great advice!!

ITA- I've been getting so much dental work done so that I shouldn't have any pains, etc... when we do get pg. I have had cavities filled, root canals, teeth pulled  , crowns put on and cleanings.... I think the dentist is getting tired of seeing me!
