An Open Letter to the Buyers of my Family Home

My house is on the market, and I know there are a few other ladies on here that have recently bought and sold. I thought you would appreciate this

I love this! Buying or selling a home is such an emotional process (unless the buyer or seller is an investor).

For buyers, I think what matters most is not what color the walls are, or whether the counters are granite, but whether they can envision themselves living in a house, if there's a "gut feeling" that this house can be a warm and happy home. This piece captures so many of those everyday moments and milestones that transform a "property" into a "home."

I'm sure writing it was cathartic for you, too, given it's always emotional for sellers to say goodbye to a house, even if they very much want and need a new soace.

Awesome...now im crying at my desk hoping none of my coworkers see me.

We're getting ready to put our first home together on the market in March and this really hit home for me.

We typed a letter and left copies at our open house. Was a little more marketing as we tried to show off the best features of the apt but also told some memories and how nice of a home it was for family gatherings, etc

The buyer loved the letter. Mentioned many times during the process. I think it helped us sell so quickly!
