For those that drink water..
I've always been a HUGE diet coke person. But last week, i decided that maybe i should try to stop drinking it, because really, it can't be that healthy. I went out and bought a ton of bottled water and am determined to stick with this for a while (even though water bores me, but i'm hoping i'll get used to it). Anyway, for those who drink water do you find it helps with bloat and keeping weight down? Ever since my missed miscarriage (and gaining some weight), i have been holding on to about 5 extra lbs and i'm hoping that drinking water will help me to lose the weight faster, i'm also dieting as well.
Thanks everyone!

Re: For those that drink water..
I'm sorry for your mc's....But IF you miss soda you can always try Seltzer, the flavor kind too. It is just as good as water :)
I do drink alot of water as well as diet and exerise...I think exerise is KEY!
Instead of buying bottled water try getting the Camelbak water bottle, you can find them in target. It makes drinking water easy and if you drink 3 of those a day it is 9 glasses of water :)

Re: For those that drink water..
I drink a lot of water and haven't really found that the water alone has helped with my weight - BUT if you're drinking more water in conjunction with drinking less Diet Coke, it could actually help, because diet sodas contain sodium which aids in water retention, which leads to bloating and holding on to "water weight."

Re: For those that drink water..
I agree, save the plastic and get an insulated stainless steel bottle. I bought these for our employees and then another for my husband, everyone loves it:

We have refillable Britta water filters at home, and a spring water cooler at work which rounds out my water supply. ![Chat Icon](c/1.gif)
As far as if it makes a difference, I think there's nothing better for you than water. Even if it's not the sugar, it's all the other crap that is in drinks that isn't great. Now that I'm really in the groove, working out, I find I'm much more conscious about all the unhealthy things that go into my body.

Re: For those that drink water..
DH loves his Kleen Kanteen, his has the sport spout. I don't like stainless, so I have a Camelbak with a bite valve. Love it. No plasticky taste at all.Camelbak
Try putting a slice of lime or lemon or orange in the water if you want flavor./ I've also had friends tell me a mint leaf and cucumber and ginger are good in water but i've never tried them myself. If you miss bubbles, get a seltzer on occasion.

If you get bored of the taste of plain water, try Mio Water Enhancer. You can find it in Stop & Shop. Its in a tiny little silver bottle. You just put a drop of it in your water and it flavors it just enough. Comes in a bunch of flavors. I like the Sweet Tea and Strawberry the best. It has 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 fat and 0 sugars.

Re: For those that drink water..
I literally drink a gallon of nothing but water a day. I have to admit I get tired of it but I keep going with it because I know that any kind of soda is bad for you.
I either buy a gallon of Poland Spring and drink that while at work, or have my water bottle (three of these I know is a gallon of water).

I use a bottle at work and just keep refilling that. I don't really drink anything other than water (except booze ) and yes it definitely helps deflate the bloat!

Re: For those that drink water..
I've basically given up coffee during the week.
I usually go to Panera in the AM before work and drink one large unsweeted iced tea there and then bring a refill to work.
I also pack a large water bottle of ice water in my bag for the rest of the day at work and drink that.
This keeps me hydrated and I feel a lot better then when I had a large coffee in the AM.
