For those that shower at night?
How do you make sure your hair is not a gross mess the next day?
Showering at night would be great, but my hair is a wreck the next day

Re: For those that shower at night?
I put my product in it and let it air dry, or if it's getting close to my bed time and it's still wet, I just rough dry it with the blow dryer.
Then I put it up in a semi loose top knot with a fabric covered ponytail holder.
In the morning, I style it with the curling iron as I normally would.
I would imagine you can do the same with a flat iron if you wear your hair straight.

I kind of wrap it, I guess. I take one side and pin it to the other side.

No matter what I do, my hair is a mess if I sleep on it. I have a small spray bottle for water that I use to lightly mist my hair in the morning and then dry/style with the blow dryer

I blow dry it....not nicely, just to get it dry. Then in the morning I use my straightener. I actually prefer doing it this way because if I wash, dry and straighten all at once it looks too fluffy and doesn't lay correctly. Not sure if that makes sense, but I like letting it "rest" overnight.

I do this too and feel the same! When I do my hair at night, I rough dry it. The next morning I will usually go over it again with the dryer and then the flat iron.

I'm definitely going to try this!

For me, my hair gets very weird if I let it air dry then go to sleep. It gets very heavy the next morning, almost greasy, like I put a lot of product in it, even though I wouldn't put in any. I don't really know how to describe it, it's very weird! But I have friends who air dry and then flat iron the next day and they have no problem.

Re: For those that shower at night?
Whether I'm letting my hair go natural (wavy) or blowing it straight, the key for me is make sure it's completely dry before I go to bed. If it's even a little damp, it's a hot mess in the morning.
Even still, going to bed with wavy hair still doesn't look great in the AM. I usually take a 2" barrel curling iron put 5 or 6 huge barrel curls on each side...that gives my hair nice waves and smooths out the frizz.

See if I wash and blow dry but then straight iron it in the morning my hair looks flat and greasy in 1 day. Its so odd! If I just wash, blowdry and straight iron it all at once it stays good in the morning and for days.
I use Living Proof Prime Style Extender and have found it makes a world of difference for my hair. Also after I straght iron it I give it a blast of cool from the blow dryer and that has helped too. Somtimes I have to fix my bangs but thats about it.

I've done this and it looks ok, just not as nice as when I blow dry it. I dry it upside down so it retains volume. My hair is heavy so it's kind of flat looking on top. If your hair isn't heavy you could totally do that. I also don't love sleeping with wet hair!
Sometimes in the summer I'll put it in a tight bun after I wash it. Then when I wake up I undo the bun and put a little product in it. It stays wavy all day.
