for those who are not taking childbirth classes
I watched the Laugh & Learn childbirth prep DVDs this weekend (thanks to dapnkap who lent them to me!!) and I found them to be fantastic! Totally worth your time and money ladies. I feel so much more informed and prepared, and I know I am 100x better off now that I know more about what goes on in our bodies during labor, what the pros & cons of all the drugs are, what the pros & cons of the delivery methods are, recovery from each of the methods, what to do for comfort, etc. I also watched the BFing and caring for baby DVDs and they were great as well.

I just did the DVD too and I don't think I could have learned anything more from a class. It did help with labor and then when it got tough I had the epi.

That's awesome!!!!
I agree that a video can be more helpful than a class. It's wonderful to be mentally informed. That way you can help top get mentally prepared.
