For those who had to stop BFing (for any reason) before you were ready
Do you get very upset when you pass the aisle with the BFing supplies in BBB or BRU? This has happened to me 3 times already I am a post partum mess sometimes!!!!

This hasn't happened just yet but with all the problems I'm having, I imagine it often enough.
Hang in there.

Re: For those who had to stop BFing (for any reason) before you were ready
I stopped bf-ing because Ava had a severe milk allergy and I had severe post partum depression. I felt very sad over stopping for a really, really long time. The great thing is that I have a really happy, healthy and smart 17 month old now, and I don't regret making the choice to stop. It's what saved my sanity in the end. Hang in there, as long as DC is happy and healthy, that's all that really, truly matters

I didn't have a hard time with it honestly. My DD cut me off at 7 months (she was testing out her teeth on me too!) and then I pumped for 4 months. When I finally weaned her to milk, I was "done" with it. Maybe it was the 4 months of pumping 5x a day that I was glad to be done with.

I didn't have that experience in the store, but I felt a lot of the feelings I'd had in the early post-partum days. I had terrible anxiety after DD was born, and it went away, but in the days after I finished BFing (when DD was 6 months) it reared its head again for a few weeks. I wasn't expecting that.
