Definitely about 50. I am in my 12th year of teaching high school. It used to be a LOT more hours as I was the only one in my building who taught my courses and I created three courses from the ground up.Chat Icon

Re: For those who work full-time

I have an official 37.5 hour work week but usually work about 40-42 hours. I get overtime for the extra hours which is great since I also get commission. Extra work = extra base pay and extra sales = more comission. So I have no complaints.

Re: For those who work full-time

I'm supposed to be at work for 40 hours, working 35, but I very rarely take an hour for lunch & leave at 5 ever day of the week, so it works about to be about 45 hours usually, 50 when we are busy.

No overtime pay.

DH is hourly & has to clock out & they don't want to may overtime so he can't stay for more than 7 minutes lates!

He really does work his scheduled 37.5 hours.

Re: For those who work full-time

I hate to sit in traffic so I get to work around 10 and try to leave work before 5:00 rush hour. Oh look its almost time.!!

During the workday I go for walks, surf the net, go shopping, do errands, etc. When I get home at night I usually dont leave again. So I definitely dont WORK 40 hrs.
