forgot my LIRR monthly ticket today
Do I remember correctly that you no longer get a refund for a ticket you buy on the train when you forget your monthly? I'm pretty sure they don't do it anymore, but thought I'd check just in case.
Went out in the city on Saturday night and never transferred my ticket back into my bag. Thank goodness I had cash on me this morning! I didn't realize I didn't have my ticket until I was on the train.

You're correct. No more refunds. Try talking your way out of paying. I lost my ticket for a week & never paid.

I paid this morning on the train when I forgot and already bought a ticket for the ride home. I put a calendar reminder in my blackberry to put the ticket in my bag tonight! 
Ugh, I spent $14 one way this morning.

for next time...get on the last train car out of Brentwood on the 7:42 am...you will never pay in the morning!!
