Do you already have the Home?
If you do have the Home, I'd ask for the Kitchen. If you don't have the Home, I'd ask for the Farm. JMO.

So you like the farm then? I think I am leaning towards the farm and saving the kitchen idea for when she is a little older

DS has the Home. He actually also got the Farm for Xmas but we ended up returning the Farm and kept the Home. Now I think the Farm is cuter than the Home. 10.5m DS loooooves the Home. If space wasn't an issue (we just moved back to the city), I'd get the both Farm and Kitchen. They seem like very different toys. DH wouldn't agree. He thinks they are all the same.

That is the reason we kept the Home and returned the Farm.
Honestly I think they are very similar. I do think the Farm is cuter though.

DS has the farm and LOVES IT!!! It does not take up a lot of space, and he spends a lot of time pushing all the buttons and gadgets on there.
He especially loves when I 'pretend' to go through the barn door, he cracks up in hysterics. (Probably bc I would totally get stuck if I truly tried).

I would get the kitchen over the farm if he has the home.
I was talking to a few moms and DS' school teacher about the home vs. the new barn one. They all loved both but apparently the kids they interact with got bored of the barn faster.

DD has both the home and the kitchen. I think the farm is just like the home and would definitely recommend it over the kitchen. The kitchen is cute but DD and every kid that ever comes to play LOVES the learning home.

DS is currently 8 months old and got the House for CHristmas. He loves it! It is fun watching him discover all of the things that he can do with it. My MIL said that the other grandkids played with theirs for a while.

DD has the farm, her and her friend love it, and it was easy to put together (I put it together)
