Freaked out-it just doesn't stop-lump in neck
Well after Ronan took a fall down 14 steps, 2 days later fell/jumped out fo his crib, yesterday I found a lump in his neck.  I *think* its a swollen lymph node, its small(pea sized or smaller) movable and slightly soft. It is behind the tendon in his neck sort of on an angle from his ear. He has had issues with ear infections, had tubes at 10 months-one of which haas now fallen out. My MIL suggested it could also be an inujry from th efall-but it does not seem to cause him pain at all. Please send us some good wishes and your best thoughts that this is NOTHING and my baby will be fine. I'm freaking out 
ETA BTDT PLEASE share your experiences-apparently this is quite common

Poor baby! Not a btdt but my friends ds had a lump in his neck at 3 weeks old. Turns out it was muscular - something similar to torticollis. After pt and daily exercises it went away.

Probably related to ear infections but I would be worried too. it's nothing.

My kids don't get this but I do lol. It feels kind iof like a pea just under the skin. Maybe 2 fingers down from my ear on an angle. I usually get them when I am about to get sick. The thing shows up and sure enough the next day I'm sick. It always goes away so I have never seen the doc about it. I have had it for as long as I can remember.

He was sick a while ago and then had a orrible reaction to antibotic so I took him of after 4 days. He was sick for about 1 week after and then fine. Now is sneezing and has a runny nose again...thank you for responding. That is exactly where his bump is.

Crashing but I have a lump in my neck at the same spot. I had an mri done awhile back because sometimes mine would be a little painful. Apparently it was from an infection I got once and the lymph node swelled and formed scar tissue so now it won't go down. they put me on a strong antibiotic and said if it didn't clear up then we have nothing to worry about. If it was uncomfortable they would cut it out. Unless its killing me 24-7 I will never cut it out! HTH

jack had one at about 4 months, pea sized. i freaked. it was a lymph node

one of my sons gets this every time he is sick or even a little run down. doc said it was a lymph node.

I found a lump like that under my armpit once and was convinced I had cancer...
When I went to check it out, the first thing the dr. did was see if it moved - she explained since it was close to the surface and it could be moved around, it was nothing - we still got it checked out, and it was just a sebaceous cyst...
I am sure it is nothing - especially from what you described!!!!

My friends son had this at 2 1/2. It was a cyst and disappeared within a week or so
