Freddy Update
Nothing really new. He's scheduled for surgery Monday afternoon and they will also trach him, and peg him.
Please, please, please pray that they don't have to amputate his leg. The surgeon is wonderful and caring and really talks to us but he said there is a 70% chance he may have to take the leg. If there is no healthy muscle he can't save it. He said he will do his best, but on top of everything Fred has to face, I can't stand the thought of him having one leg. There are just too many things he will have to face when he can finally wake up and know what's going on.
Just pray that the surgeon finds enough healthy muscle to graft.

PS I brought two fruit trays to the nurses today, They loved them. Tomorrow I'm bringing lunch.

I spoke to the surgeon today and he said late in the afternoon. So I imagine after 3 or so. Each surgery so far has been about 2 hrs. He will call me when it's done.

You all have been my support through this. Your prayers have gotten him this far. I will certainly update asap. I will need to. It's part of my therapy.

Susan, you are so sweet to be thinking of the nurses at this time. I am sure they appreciate it more than you know. My sister used to live off of soda and candy from the machines. That is just so sweet and I hope that everyne continues to give the best of care to Fred.
You are an amazing sister and a wonderful woman.
