frequency of sale and next door neighbor question

is there a site where I can put in an address and see who lives there? We are really interested in a home, BUT I have a strange feeling about one of the homes next door.

**the house has been sold often ( in my mind) 5 years, another 5 years, and now 7 years. Is this often or normal??

Yes, you can go to whitepages.com and do a reverse address look up. It will give you the names of the people if they are listed. It may not give you the current people though, for example for my house it's the owners before us b/c we are unlisted.

every 5+ years doesn't seem all that unusual to me, especially if its more of a starter house.

I can look up the sales history of any house, if you want to FM me the address.

The house next to my moms was sold often. First an elderly couple lived there and they both passed away and it was bought by one of the sons. He eventually moved, Then a young girl bought the house and ended up moving out of state a few years later when she got engaged. And now another elderly couple live there, It has nothing to do with the house in this case at all. I wouldn't worry too much. When you look at the house you can ask the homeowners about the neighbors.

If someone has some shady neighbors, i highly doubt the seller is going to offer up that info and turn you away... I had asked our seller about our neighbors, and he told us that the ones next to us have lived here since the complex opened and that they "look out" for everyone... aka they are nosy... come to find out, we move in and within 2 days everyone is coming up to us warning us about them

my home inspector told me the average time someone lives in a home is now 6 yrs. That seemed pretty low to me, but that's the current statistic-- according to his source of course.
