I am glad to hear that t hings are looking up. I wanted to say this to you, from personal experience, that leukemia would be an out of control HIGH white count, not a low count.It is the proliferation of white blood cells. So I think that your son's count being lower is a positive.
Please keep us posted.

I know that. This is all so confusing. We just talked with the doctor again and she is not ruling anything out.

Maddie had a slightly low WBC and while it freaked me out some- they also said virus- and also it is hereditary- my DH has a lower WBC as well (my step dad and his father too)- maybe the case since you & you're mom have it?
I know my Ped said that it isn't just low WBC that is leukemia.. other things in blood would be off- not sure exactly what is going on with your DS counts.. but if it it just WBC that could be a good sign it isn't leukemia and is viral.

Thank you for sharing! I do hope this is the case. Neither my mom or me have low WBC or any of the other problems he had wrong with the bloodwork. We have other problems in our blood. So, we are at a loss.
